![]() ![]() The companion and collaborator of the Lord Jesus Christ through the Covenant of love also transforms us into companions and collaborators of the Lord Jesus. For that reason, our cross was called the Unity Cross, a cross that heals the rupture in the organism of attachments through the action of the Covenant of Love with our Blessed Mother that was precisely Father’s great prophecy: the Covenant of Love with our beloved Blessed Mother is precisely the instrument to re-establish the organism of attachments, the attachment of man with God, among ourselves and with nature.īut there is still more, this cross was constituted into a sign of what Father asked of the Family on the 31st of May: Schoenstatt for the Church! That message of the bi-unity of Christ and Mary, Her place as the co-redemptrix in Christ’s mission of salvation is our task for the entire Church too. The Blessed Mother took advantage of this moment to confirm this prophetic proclamation of our Father. It was a confirmation of the 31st of May Mission, the mission of attachments. The miracle of communion had occurred! The miracle of unity! Father’s great prophecyĪlong with this immense joy, this miracle had a very important significance. That night we began the Eucharistic celebration divided, and at the end, we all shook hands and embraced. At this very difficult moment, this very dark moment, at this moment of division, the Blessed Mother took this instrument and transformed it into the Unity Cross. We wanted to present it precisely on that particular Christmas Eve of 1960 with the first priest of our generation, Father Humberto Anwandter. Our Christly priesthood would be made with the die stamp of our Father. One symbol we wanted to make together with much prayer and reflection was the priestly cross it was a cross that would represent our priestly identity: the cross of the intimate unity of Christ and Mary. ![]() It was a dark moment, a moment of division, that was dramatic for the Schoenstatt Family in Santiago, while at the same time in Switzerland and in Brazil, the first generation of Schoenstatt Fathers who emerged from the Bellavista Youth were preparing for their ordination. ![]()
